Aspen, CO

Aspen Village Run

The historic village of Aspen makes for a scenic and interesting run. The atmosphere is fun and festive, with shops, galleries, and restaurants in Victorian-era buildings. There are also some pretty residential side streets.

We suggest creating your own route, incorporating some of the main commercial streets and some of the residential side roads, using Main St. as an anchor point. It’s easy to string together a few miles. A good starting point is the iconic Hotel Jerome. Be sure to see the Aspen Art Museum, Red Brick Center for the Arts, Balwin Gallery, John Denver Sanctuary, the gazebo in Paepcke Park, the Wheeler/Stallard House Museum housed in a 19th century mansion, and head up Meadows Rd. to the Aspen Institute.

For more, the Rio Grande Multi-Use Trail is accessible right from downtown, as is wonderful trail running on Aspen Mountain and several of our other routes in the area.

  • Can easily do 3-4 miles around the town.
