Suan Luang/King Rama IX Park

This is the largest park in Bangkok. Call it a ‘destination run’, as it’s tough to get to: not accessible via public transport, and a traffick-ey drive 15 km from the city. If you make the journey, you’ll be rewarded with ~8 km of paths in the area, including Nong Bon Lake Park. There’s a lake, a waterworks, botanical gardens, and some nice green spaces.

Combine it with a journey to the famed Rod Fai night market.

Essentials
  • About 8 km of paths
  • Multiple entrances off Rama IX
  • 15 km from the city. Not easily accessible by public transport.
