The 2 miles along the wide sidewalk/boardwalk of Quincy Shore Drive offer a pleasant waterside run in this south shore town close to Boston. The road runs along the beach from the intersection with Furnace Brook Parkway, north to E. Squantum St., for about 2 miles. There are water and Boston skyline views the entire way. This is a popular spot, with lots of walkers on a nice day. There are a few classic clam and ice cream shacks along the road.
For a longer run, continue onto E. Squantum St./Dorchester St., which runs alongside Squantum Channel and Marshes for another 1.5 miles.
