Features:
Maadi, or al-Ma’adi is an affluent, leafy suburban district 12 km south of downtown. It is one of the safer and greener spots for running in Cairo. The area is also served by metro.
Rather than a specific route, here are a few recommendations for running in the area:
- Streets around the Cairo American College (CAC), inside Victoria Square/Street 250 and Degla Square.
- From Cairo American College, run east along Street 213 to Msaken Nerko, through Zatoun Park, and then Zahraa al Maadi for 2.5 miles to the Maadi British School, for a 5 mile out and back
