Farm Road Running in Keene

The village of Keene is right up there with Dick Woods Road when it comes to scenic gravel road running just outside of Charlottesville. This quiet oasis of farmland is about 20 minutes south of the city, but easily reachable by car. The crew at Ragged Mountain Running recommend parking at the Christ Church on Glendower Street (except on Sunday). From there, runners can set out on a roughly seven mile loop over dirt roads. Head north on Glendower and follow it where it turns RIGHT. Take another RIGHT south on Blenheim Road, then turn sharply RIGHT on Coles Rolling Road to return to Glendower.

Essentials
  • 7 mile loop
  • 211 feet
  • Christ Church, Glendower Street
  • Route 20
