Other Good Spots for Running in Chennai

Chetpet Ecopark. Wikimedia Commons

In addition to some of the signature locations to run in this busy city of 8 million, here is an admittedly random collection of additional spots that are suitable for running in Chennai. Because it isn’t generally possible to just run along the roads or connect areas, we’re pointing out some dedicated running spots not covered in previous posts.  See the overview map on the Chennai home page for location info.

Chetpet Ecopark. Park and small lake with jogging trails. In Kilpauk, right next to Kilpauk subway station.

My Ladys Garden. Sports complex and park where you can stitch together a couple of km off road. There are designated jogging paths and a track. And a public swimming pool for a post-run dip! Located near the central railway and metro stations, ~2 km west of Victory War Memorial.
