This 840 hectare (2,000 acre) park is an oasis of greenery located just southeast of Nicosia. There are 20 km of trails, winding through trees and shrubs, on surfaces that vary from hard pack to gravel and some softer sand. Some of the trails go through shaded, forest type areas, while there’s a designated 16 km cycling route on gravel paths that are more like dirt roads.
There’s a visitor center, a modest-sized botanical garden, a lake, and some recreational facilities.
