East Bay Bike Path

The East Bay Bike Path is the signature run in Providence, popular with pedestrians and cyclists alike. Starting at India Point Park in Providence, the paved multi-use trail follows the Providence River for nearly 15 miles to Independence Park in Bristol, RI. The path passes several state and local parks, recreation areas, and connects neighborhoods, schools and business districts. Much of it is right along the water, with great views. There are stunning natural areas, as well as more urban enclaves. Spur trails lead to several parks and conservation areas, including Colt State Park in Bristol, Burr’s Hill Park in Warren, Veterans Memorial Hill Park, and Haines Memorial State Park in Burlington. Our route map shows the trail one-way, and there’s also a trail map with segment distances.

One-Way Option: Options for getting back via public transportation include taking Bus 60 PROVIDENCE via EAST MAIN. Board bus at Hope NS Franklin Stop. Get off at South Main FS Wickenden.
