Located on the Kohana Coast, Hapuna Beach up to Mauna Key is one of the largest swaths of white sand beach on Hawaii, and your best bet for a run on the sand (aside from Natural Energy Labs). Tucked into a cove alongside the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel near Puako, this stretch of Hapuna Beach is about only about half a mile, but you can continue north on the one mile bluffs path of the coastal trail over to Mauna Key Beach for an extra mile or so.
