Jamaica

Seven Mile Beach/Norman Manley Blvd. (Negril)

This multi-mile stretch of beach in Negril, on Jamaica’s west coast, is one of the best bets for a long beach run on the island, and it’s a staple of Jamaica’s famous Reggae Marathon. The sand here will give you plenty of resistance (it’s notoriously sugary) but it’s firm enough at low tide, and there are plenty of interesting eateries and nooks of beach to check out along the way. Run the length of the beach to find your favorite spot. The best place to begin is the Long Bay Beach Park, just over the Negril River Bridge. From here, you can run north for ~11 km, all the way to Bloody Bay.

An alternative/addition to any Negril beach run is the walking/cycling lane along Norman Manley Boulevard.
