Wolski Forest

For those who prefer running in an expansive green space, head a few km west towards the Wolski Forest, a massive park alongside the Vistula river with over 22 miles (35 km) of earthen trails. The forest boasts a zoo, a castle, and a historic burial mound.

There are dense forest paths and a few more open spaces and allées. Naturally, choose your own route. We’ve mapped a 7 km (4.4 mile) loop, featuring the central paths of Vlastimila Hofmana going out, and the Aleja Jerzego Waszyngtona coming back, on either side of the Kościuszko Mound.  We also recommend the paths around Lake Zakrzówek, located at the southern end of the park, which is a ~3km loop.

Note there isn’t a good map to Wolski online, so check in at the Ranger Station to plan your route, and it’s a good idea to carry a GPS. For a longer tour, you can combine the Wolski Forest trails with the Krakowski Błonia and Park Jordana route.

Note: Las=Forest
