Westpark Loop

The beautiful, urban Westpark is located 6km west of the city center, in the Sendling-Westpark neighborhood. Some argue it is even lovelier and more enjoyable than the Englischer Garten! This diverse park offers tons of trees, green space, lakes, chirping birds, playgrounds, an open air cinema, oriental shrine, buddhist temple, and gorgeous Japanese garden. With a few small hills, several hidden paths, and lots of alleys, Westpark is a perfect place for running. A tour of the outer trails is about 6k (3.6 miles).

This park is a good option if you’re looking for something a little more quiet, and not /so crowded with people. The park is open year-round, and mostly attracts families, bikers, runners, and walkers. It is easily accessible by the U-6, about 20 minutes, direction Klinikum Grosshadern.

Essentials
  • 3.6 mile loop
  • 89 feet
  • Preßburger Str.
  • U-6: Westpark Station

This was an awesome suggestion 🙂 went there today for a run and luckily I had some hill reps planned so it turned out to be the perfect location. Can’t wait to run there again as it’s getting closer to autumn, will be beautiful! Thanks for this suggestion 🙂
