The Elmwood Trail is a great 5 mile run, meandering through Memorial park and the Omaha Rose Garden, Elmwood Park, and the University of Nebraska campus (north and south). Enjoy this trail on its own or as an add-on to the Keystone Trail.
Starting near the intersection of Pacific Street and Little Papillion Creek, the Elmwood Park Connector runs east through Scott (south) campus before turning north into the park. Here, it follows a delightful creek through fields and pavilions and along the eastern edge of the main campus, turning north into Elmwood Park. Some runners may choose to turn west and explore a bit of campus on the sidewalks bordering University Drive. Or, you can continue north to Memorial Park before turning back to your starting point. If you do both, this route covers about 5 miles out and back. Â
