Prince Edward Island, Canada

Summerside Boardwalk

Summerside is the second largest city on Prince Edward Island, located about 25 km west of Confederation Bridge. A great spot for running in Summerside is the boardwalk along the harbourfront, which runs about 4 km from Mackenzie Dr., through downtown. There are water views and a dedicated path/sidewalk the whole way. Bonus: most of it lit at night!

From west to east, start at Mackenzie Dr., for 1.6 km, and then bear right on Water St. for 1 km. To continue along the water, branch off onto the Confederation Trail toward Queen’s Wharf for a brief time, and then bear right on Queen St. and then right away onto Heather Moyse Dr. After 0.8 km, the road runs into Water St. Our route end at Irving Oil.

Add-On: A section of the Confederation Trail runs east and west of Summerside. Also, decent running on the side streets of this small city.
