With 1249 feet of elevation gain, this route is not for the faint of heart, but it is a fun and beautiful run to escape the party town vibe of central Patong. Like our other Patong routes, it uses the Patong Beach sign as its starting point. The first 2.3 km of the route are flat, with nice water views along Thawewong Road (4233). Take a RIGHT at the Hotel Orchid just past Kalim Beach. This road is unnamed on maps, but it forms a roughly 6.4 km (4 mile) circuit around the heights of Kalim Hill. The first 2km of this section is VERY STEEP. If you round the circuit counter-clockwise, it will deliver you back onto 4233 near the Kalim Beach House. Simply backtrack south to complete the 11 km (~7 mile) course.

Note: VERY STEEP between km 2.3 and 4.3. Also, the road around Kalim Hill is narrow, with no shoulder or sidewalk, but it is not too busy.
