This is a wonderful run over a causeway, with views of St. Mary’s Bay on one side and the ocean on the other. Panmure Island is one of the more popular white sand beaches on PEI. We recommend the run along Panmure Island Rd., starting at the Provincial Park. It’s about 3 km over the causeway, which is a particularly scenic section. The road continues to the end of the island, for a total of 6.2 km one-way. The section on the island is more wooded and interior between the 3 km and 5 km marks, then opens up again for the last 1.5 km or so. There’s an 0.5 km spur along Lighthouse Rd. to the Panmure Island Lighthouse.

Note: No shoulder or sidewalk, but there is not too much traffic.
