Cape Cod, MA

Provincetown – Province Lands Dunes

This is one of most spectacular and varied runs on the Cape. Part of the National Seashore, the Province Lands is a 5.5 mile paved bike trail, undulating through pine forests, sandy dunes, past ponds, and low-lying cranberry bogs. It’s a unique experience to run on a trail through sandy dunes. There are areas where it’s shaded, but much of the trail is quite open. There are good views of the water near the Visitor Center, which is open seasonally and has facilities.

The trail has been improved in recent years. On busy days, be alert for bikers. There are sections that are steep and have sharp curves.

Add-Ons: 1.1 mile spur to Herring Cove, 0.5 mile spur to Race Point Beach, 0.25 mile spur to Bennett Pond
