Wake Forest: E. Carroll Joyner Park Trails

Wake Forest is a town 20 miles north of Raleigh and 25 miles east of Durham. The town has several parks and trails, the best of which for running is E. Carroll Joyner Park. There are 3 miles of paved trails that loop around wild-grass fields, flower garden areas, and farm buildings. The Farm Loop trail features a pretty pecan grove and the West Meadow loop runs by a 2,000 foot long stone ribbon wall. The map has details on the trail and loop options.
