Running along the Av. Sumaré is a good way to incorporate a workout and seeing some of  the central part of . Av. Sumaré splits the neighborhood of Perdizes and extends over the Sumaré stream. It is the main road to access many important points in the city, including the Allianz Parque Arena, the Museum of Inventions, and the PUC-SP University. Although a popular and busy through way, runners and cyclists can exercise safely using the designated paths in the center of the road.

You can begin the route at either Av. Paulo VI bus station or Sumaré metro (L2), or near Alliamz Stadium.  From the Av. Paulo VI end,  the route continues straight through Praça Márcia Aliberti Mammana and eventually through Av Sumaré, for a 6.7 km (4 mile) out and back. A bus runs along the road.

For add-on or variety, the Pacaembu neighborhood, just to the east, has some good roads for running.
