Features:
Southampton is the westernmost of the Hamptons towns. A wonderful run, with estates and water views, incorporates Pond Ln. and Meadow Ln. Start at the Geary Gubbins Sports store in the center of Southampton, and head down Pond Ln., with nice views of Agawam Lake. Then, head down to the water using First Neck Ln. for about 1 mile. From the beach, it’s then a straight shot along Meadow Ln., with features many famous homes and beach access the whole way. There are views of the water along some spots, with the ocean on one side and Shinnecock Bay on the other.
Meadow Ln. goes for 4.5 miles, ending at Shinnecock East County Park (east). The western part of the park is across a narrow isthmus. The total run is 6 miles one-way from the center of Southampton to the end of Meadow Ln., so runners will have to choose their distance. It’s pretty much out and back.
