Liberty Lake Neighborhood and State Park

Visit Spokane

Located about 17 miles east of Spokane, the independent city of Liberty Lake is considered both a suburb of Spokane and a bedroom community of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The city is defined by its eponymous lake, bordered by a swath of conservation land. It’s a great spot for running, whether you prefer pavement or trails.

Residential Option: Enjoy creating your own route in along the pleasant residential roads, most of which have nice, wide sidewalks. Some of the best longer options include Mission Ave, Molter Road, Country Vista Drive, and Valleyway Ave. There are several residential developments springing from these streets that offer more opportunities on lightly trafficked roads.

Ben Burr Trail. 1.3 mile trail heading east from Liberty Lake Regional Park, part through residential areas and part through woods.

Trail Running Option: Trail runners should consider the 8.5 mile Liberty Lake Loop through Liberty Lake Regional Park.

Check out the Liberty Lake Running Club for company and route ideas! They meet every Thursday at 6:30 pm at Liberty Lake Physical Therapy.
