The arboretum, botanical gardens, and conservatory of Spokane’s Manito Park draw all stripes of runners and walkers with their gorgeous collections of blossoms. Runners will also be pleasantly surprised to find that the neighborhood surrounding Manito Park consists of some of Spokane’s loveliest homes. This route features a combination of paths and paved roads, with numerous options to add variety. One suggested route is to use Shoshone Place and 19th Ave. to loop in the cute Cannon Hill Park (walking paths,  duck pond, stone footbridges), for a 2.7 mile tour.

Add-Ons: The residential streets in this area are pleasant for running. Tree-lined, not too much traffic, and sidewalks. Manito Boulevard has a dirt path along the median that’s good for running.

Essentials
  • 2.7 mile loop
  • 123 feet
