Castle Gardens

The go-to running option in Stuttgart, the “Schlossgarten,” or the Castle Gardens, are divided into Upper, Middle, and Lower sections, which can be connected for a loop run of up to 7 km. The former palace grounds include both paved and dirt/gravel paths which take runners past a number of great attractions including a landscape garden, a swinging pedestrian bridge, museums, galleries, and the lovely palace square itself. For a longer route, runners can easily connect with the Neckar River Path and Rosenstein Park.
