Ben Shemen Forest

Ben Shemen Forest, located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, is the largest forest in cental Israel and is a popular spot for biking, hiking, and running. At more than 5,000 acres, there’s lots of variety for runners. The main roads are good for running.

There are also 32 km of bicycle paths in the forest, which are suitable for running. They are marked in blue and red, start at Mitzpe Modi’in, just of Rt. 443 neat the Ben Shemen Interchange. It’s part of the Israel National Trail.
