Top 25 Thanksgiving ‘Turkey Trots’

Thanksgiving Day has become the biggest day for road races in the United States, with some 1 million people running a ‘Turkey Trot’.  These races raise millions of dollars for charity as well. In honor of these wonderful, inspirational events, we’ve put together this list of Top 25 Thanksgiving Turkey Trot Runs  — the largest, most historic, most scenic, and unique Thanksgiving Day road races in the country. Turkey Trot Chicago

The major Turkey Trot event in Chicago, going on 44 years. 44,000 run this 5k or 8k race, which is centered around the Turkey Tailgate. Thanksgiving morning, Lincoln Park.
