The Grouse Grind

img_0590The Grouse Grind is a famous 1.8 mile run/walk/hike consisting of 2,830 stairs and gaining 2,800 feet in elevation. Part of Grouse Mountain, which is a major recreation destination 20 minutes drive from Vancouver. One can run up, but it is prohibited to run down the trail. Options are to take the tram down ($10), or take one of the other, gentler trails (longer).

  1. Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
