Douglas Design District Murals

At first glance, Douglas Ave. may look like just any other main drag of business and commercial buildings, but this busy street from Old Town to College Hill has been reimagined as a giant canvas for artists. Over 50 murals grace this street (and some surrounding blocks) for a length of about 2.5 miles west to east. As a run, it’s a solid 5 mile out and back with lots to look at from the concrete sidewalk. The route is a straight shot along Douglas Ave. — be sure to keep your head up for cars too, as Wichita’s grid-like street system means lots of intersections to cross.
