We are excited to introduce a re-designed ‘Route Page’ for Great Runs! Route pages are the heart of the site, and it’s where users get the most information about route description, features, distance, elevation, & more. The new route page was launched in September 2025, with help from our partners at LH2.

The main change is that we have all the essential information pertaining to a route on one page. Most exciting: Route Maps are now on the route page. Below is a picture of the new route page with description of the features. But here are the highlights:
Route Description. A shorter description of the route is at the top of the page. Click Read More to see the full description.
Route Map is now on the route page. Scroll down the page to see the route map. This pertains to the MapMyRun maps. Click on Full Route Map below the map to see a larger view.
Links to trail maps or trail information (i.e. non-MMR maps) are still in the ‘Essentials Box’
More Routes Button. Located just below the ‘Essentials’ box. Click on this to jump to a display of additional routes in that location
Leave Comment. Now more prominently displayed, below the Essentials Box
Now includes ability to add a ‘Star’ rating! Please rate our routes. It’s super helpful!
Enhanced comment ability. Please tell us your experience with this route. It’s ESPECIALLY helpful if there are any edits or changes that
should be made, so our information is as accurate and up-to-date as possible! You can also attach a photo, which we’d love to showcase if you’d like!
Weather widget. Shows current weather and forecast for that location
Remember, there’s an inexpensive option to go ad-free. We’ve had to introduce ads to support the cost of Great Runs. We pay our editors, and our costs for everything, from hosting to storage continue to go up. Our ad-free option is $10 per month or $60 per year — less than the cost of a road race!
Hello Great Runs Users! A few quick notes:
