Aruba

Palm Beach Sightseeing Path

Salvatore Freni

Covering the northwest coast of the island, Aruba’s Sightseeing Path stretches for about 6.5 km (4 miles) from the Palm Beach area to the scenic California Lighthouse. There are great water views most of the way. Runners can pick up the path in front of the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino or the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino in Palm Beach. From here, the boardwalk hugs the coast heading north towards the Aruba Marriott Resort/Stellaris Casino and the Ritz-Carlton Aruba. At Hadicurari Beach, the path borders L.G. Smith Boulevard, continuing north past Malmok Beach, Boca Catalina Beach and Arashi Beach. Just past Arashi Bay, the boulevard bends inland to the California Lighthouse, which offers 360 degree views around the island.

The route about 6.4 km one way, but runners can add some length with the paths around the lighthouse. It’s also possible to run one way and take a bus back south. Runners are advised to set out early to beat the heat and the beach crowds.
