Willamette Park and Natural Area

Kirt Edblom

Willamette Park and Natural area, the city’s largest green space situated along the riverside, provides another great option for shorter, easy runs in the south end of the city. Runners will find some asphalt pathways as well as plentiful dirt singletrack circling a frisbee golf course, playing fields, and sparkling glimpses of the river. There are multiple access points to the park. While most visitors use the main entrance at the end of Goodnight Ave, there are also trailheads along SE Shoreline Drive and SE Fischer Lane. A park perimeter loop, plus the gravel trail that goes south to the end at E. Shoreline Dr., is about 4 miles.
