Massachusetts: Foliage Routes

Lake Waban and Wellesley College Campus

This ultimate campus run is a particular treat at the height of autumn. The 500-acre campus of Wellesley College is a living arboretum, with miles of paved paths winding by specimen trees, ponds, and tasteful buildings. A part of the tour also includes the 2.75 perimeter path of Lake Waban, which affords spectacular water and campus views.

We recommend the Lake Waban perimeter path, and then create a do-it-yourself run on Wellesley’s paths. The Lake Waban path has some sections with rocks and tree roots. There’s also a wonderful running track on the northern edge of campus.

For even more miles, the enjoy the beautiful, quiet residential streets adjoining Wellesley College.
