Features:
The “Little Pentagon” as Peru’s military headquarters is known, is located in San Borja, in the southwest part of Lima. The area is surrounded by lovely parks and gardens, with a network of brick and concrete paths looping around the perimeter. The main park also has stationary exercise equipment so you can add some reps to your workout. Most runners start on the east side of the park, near Av. Buena Vista, which has good bus service. A full loop around, following the interior of Bielovucic Cavalier, Av. Alejandro Velasco Astete, Esmeralda, Av. de la Floresta, Av. Paseo del Bosque, and Av. San Borja Norte, is about 4.2 km (2.6 miles). For more distance, use the cross paths through the center of the park. On Sundays, the surrounding streets are closed to traffic, so runners can explore even further.
