Located in Appio Claudio in the far southeast reaches of Rome (Municipio VII), Parco degli Acquedotti follows and protects what remains of two remarkable ancient aqueducts. There are plenty of wide dirt paths snaking around and under the aqueducts and the surrounding green lawns. There are several starting points, and a loop around the main park is about 6 km. However, runners can also continue north into Parco di Torre Fiscale for an additional 2.5 km. Via Appia/Parco della Caffarella are also nearby options to extend your run.
