For those staying in one of the hotels near Charles de Gaulle Airport or the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte, there's some nice running in Parc de Sausett & Parc Robert Ballanger. Several km of trails through fields, landscaped gardens, & woodlands.
Run in a gorgeous national park at the southernmost point of the Canadian mainland! About an hour from Windsor, the Park juts out into Lake Erie and has several km of woodland, marsh, & beach trails. Also some runnable cycle trails.
Sète is a major port city, located 33 km south of Montpellier. There's a scenic run along the marina/port for up to 5.6 km, and many km of running on the wide, sandy runnable beach.
Marseillan is a port town on the other side of the Étang de Thau (lake) from Sète. The best places to run are along a 7 km beach, a path out to the Onglus Lighthouse, and a waterfront route along the lake/marina.
The best places to run in this Mediterranean port of the Canal du Midi, located 50 km south of Montpellier, are the paths along the Hérault River, quai paths around the Port du Cap d'Agde Marina, and along Rochelongue Beach.
Just northwest of Sapporo, some nice running options in the Otaru Dream Beach area: 10 km of runnable beach; a 3 km beachside road; and 2.5 km of paths along the Hoshioki River, & more in Hoshimi Ryokuchi Park. Can be combined in various ways!
The heart of Otaru is 20 km northwest of Sapporo. Pleasant running along the canal -- especially pretty in winter! -- and in Temiya Park & Otaru Park. For a challenge & great views, run to the Asahi Observation Deck.
Scenic waterfront running in Kaş, a seaside town that occupies the site of ancient Antiphellos. The hilly peninsula loop, which features great sea views, is popular with runners. Can also run for 5-6 km west on the main waterfront road.
A great destination run only 12 km inland from Pattaya Beach. Paved multi-use path around the reservoir, separated from the road. Nice views, and one of the better options in the area for a longer off-road run.
