At 2,800 acres, Mohawk Park has plenty of open space for a run. It’s a fun and festive environment for recreation, with a zoo, golf course, and numerous sporting facilities. Altogether, the park boasts some 10 miles of paved roads and a long network of side paths. The paved, multi-use Mohawk/Owasso Trail also runs through the park along Mohawk Boulevard for about 2 miles. Trail runners should check out the paths surrounding the Oxley Nature Center for the best trails.

Did a solid 6 mile run here today after reading about it on this page–trails are nice there are a mix of paved trails (old closed roads) and cleared dirt/grass trails. Can be a bit dicey in some places there are people in the woods doing things they probably shouldn’t…I carried a pocket knife w/ me but next time I will bring my dog.
