Built on a former landfill and located about 20 miles west of the center of Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood, Vista View Park has some pleasant running paths and offers that rare opportunity in Florida: hills! The park is 270 acres and features a 2.1 mile equestrian loop trail, other paved paths, and 1/2 mile fitness trail with stations.

Other Routes in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Beach, FL
This route takes you along the iconic A1A, which hugs the ocean, on a sidewalk that runs parallel to the beach. There are mile markers along the way so you can adjust your distance accordingly.
Lauderdale By The Sea is located on a long, narrow barrier island separated from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway, stretching approximately one-half dozen blocks to the Atlantic Ocean.
One of Broward's largest and most diverse parks. Paved paths run throughout the south side of the park, totaling 1.75 miles. There are two certified 5K courses along the roadways and pathways.
One of the most scenic runs you can take inland in Fort Lauderdale is on the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk. This recently completed trail along the New River in downtown is considered by many “Florida’s Most Beautiful Mile.”
A popular route in downtown Fort Lauderdale that runs from Andrews Avenue in the Central Business District to A1A and Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Close to the Fort Lauderdale Beaches, downtown, Galleria Mall and many other conveniences, Coral Ridge is one of Fort Lauderdale’s most sought after residential areas.
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is an oasis of the last Tropical Maritime Hammock in all of Broward County. This 180-acre park contains beautiful nature trails, and a 2 mile paved loop perfect for a quick run! Can add w/Coral Ridge neighborhood.
Brick-paved oceanfront promenade stretching nearly 2 miles. A haven for runners, walkers, cyclists, etc. Festive and crowded! Lots of bars, restaurants, and shops along the way.
This 2.3-mile gravel trail, accessible from the north side of the park, meanders through mangroves and is popular with walkers and bicyclists.
A different running experience, only 20 minutes west of Fort Lauderdale's hotels. Run along the many miles of trail atop the levees at Conservation Levee Greenway, with views of wetlands and sawgrass prairie. Note it's open & exposed.
