Start right downtown off King St. The first 0.75 miles is on the River Walk trail, through Riverside Park, featuring nice views of the Mississippi River. Just past Friendship Gardens, there are trails around the La Crosse Marsh. Take take the Vietnam Veterans/Willow/Cottonwood trail (see trail map) for 2.3 miles to Myrick Park. There are nice views out to the Marsh. For the return, use the paved Jim Asfoor Trail along the La Crosse River, and take the Old La Crosse Railroad Bridge.
