A run across Putra Bridge, around the grand Putra Square, and up the Tangga Putrajaya Steps in Taman Putra Perdana garden is a memorable experience. It’s a ~7k out and back, with good add-on options.
A good place to start on Persirian Perdana @Lebuh Bestari, where there’s a large parking lot. You’ll run along the wide, grand boulevard for 1 km to the Putra Bridge. It’s a super wide avenue, with three lanes of traffic on each side, a wide pedestrian median, and wide sidewalks. The bridge itself 0.5 km, and the crossing is memorable, with a wide pedestrian path and impressive views. Crossing the bridge, there’s a path underneath it with some stairs leading to Putra Square on the right side. Do a loop around the Square and inside it, with views of the water, bridges, and the enormous Putra Mosque.
Then, continue along the path for 0.4 km toward Taman Putra Perdana garden and take the Tangga Putrajaya Steps to enter the garden, continuing along the wide steps for 0.4 km. You can also enjoy ~1 km of lovely, shaded paths around the garden. Retrace your steps to the start.
Add-Ons. The Botanical Garden is just west and features a lovely ~4 km loop on paths around 700+ species of plants & flowers. There’s a nice path along the north bank of Putrajaya Lake headed east from Putra Square (see our waterfront route). You can also include Seri Gemilang Bridge in your run. It’s ~5 km along the wide Persirian Perdana between the two bridges. Pro Tip: If doing Seri Gemilang Bridge, try it at sunrise — it’s a special experience (and there’s a ‘Sunrise Point’).

Wonderful running on a 30+ km network of paved multi-use paths along Putrajaya Lake, anchored by the Seri Gemilang Bridge and the Putra Bridge. Great views of the water & Putrajaya's impressive bridges & architecture. Bonus: All paths are lit!
A pleasant 4.3 km loop on paved paths around Taman Botani Putrajaya, which features 700 species of flowers & plants. Combine with our Putra Square route for a terrific longer run!
Putrajaya Wetlands park features ~4 km of dirt paths around wetlands and a small lake. The hilly Taman Saujana Hijau Putrajaya park has scenic paths around landscaped gardens and great views. Run separately or combine!
Runners in Cyberjaya love doing 1.3 km loops around the scenic Taman Tasik Lake. Add with pat around Multimedia University across the way, which also features a running track.
