An 180-acre park along the beach, with nature trails. A short walk from beach-side shops and condominiums, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is an oasis of the last Tropical Maritime Hammock in all of Broward County. It preserves the natural heritage of subtropical coastal habitat that once covered southeast Florida. There are several miles of trails in this park.

A favorite route is the paved 2-mile Park Road loop, enjoyed by bicyclists and runners alike. This includes a nice section along the Sunrise Bay Canal. For more, see this trail map for the other trails and connector to the walkway along Sunrise Blvd.

Add-OnCoral Ridge neighborhood residential run. Take E. Sunrise Blvd.
