YAS Marina Circuit

This is one of the more unique running experiences out there. The Yas Marina Circuit is a Formula 1 motorsports facility that, once a week, becomes a recreational mecca. On Tuesday nights, the track is closed to cars and opened for running, walking, and cycling. The track is a 5.5 km loop — with the interior section used by cyclists and the outer perimeter used for running/walking. There are long straights, some curves, and some small inclines. It’s a festive scene — there can can be hundreds of runners there on a given Tuesday. There are also numerous fitness clubs, activities, and events linked to this unique weekly event.
