Blue River Parkway Trail

Starting at Minor Park, the Blue River Parkway has 12+ miles of trails that wind along both banks of its namesake river, on the southern outskirts of Kansas City. More specifically, this paved, 3.1 mile route heads north, passing Alex George Lake and Blue River Park. Located south of Indian Creek Bike Trail, this route ends shortly after a I-435 underpass, and connects to the Indian Creek Trail in east Overland Park. For longer routes, start south of Minor Park, more towards Saeger Woods Conservation Area. While this route is heavily trafficked in some areas, it features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
