Chipiona is a popular seaside town on the Andalusian coast, known for its wide, extensive beaches, castle, and historic lighthouse. The signature run in Chipiona is along the dedicated waterfront promenade, which runs parallel to the main road for 3.2 km between the Chipiona Port and Playa de Regla. There are great views of the Gulf of Cádiz and the North Atlantic, a festive beach scene, and several historic sights along the way. The beach is also runnable, though the sand can tend to be a bit muddy/soft. Bonus: Lit at night!

Starting at Playa de Regla near the seaside Santuario de Nuestra Señora and heading north, you’ll reach the Monumento de Luz in 0.6 km, the lighthouse (Faro) in 1.2 km, Castillo at 1.75 km, and the Rocio Jurado monument at 2.75 km. You can also explore some of the piers and slips around the port.

Add-On: You can explore the hilly streets of Chipiona, or some of the vineyard roads inland.
