Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve

TripAdvisor

The Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve is a 253 hectare green space acclaimed for its coastal, rivervine forest, and grassland mosaic habitat. It’s located in southwestern Durban on the north side of Yellow Wood Park. It’s a popular spot for wildlife viewing, but there are also several runnable trails cutting through the property. There are 13 km of walking paths, as well as a 10 km mountain bike trail which traverses some mild terrain. A 5 km loop on the Castle Trail is a favorite of the local KNZ Trail Running Club. For the most part, the trails are smooth with some rolling elevation. NOTE: Keep your head up for mountain bikers and wildlife.
