The Dunn-Erwin Rail trail is another good off-road running option in the Fayetteville area. The crushed stone multi-use trail is located about 20 miles north of Fayetteville, and runs for 5 miles between the centers of Erwin and Dunn. The terrain is a combination of suburban residential, open farmland, and some wooded sections. There are informative signs with a map as well as historical points of interest and attractions along the way. It won’t win any giant awards for scenery, but it’s a good way to get in some relatively flat off-road miles
