Fresno County Blossom Trail

Creative Commons: Andy Blackledge

For a gorgeous and unique running experience, hit the Fresno County Blossom Trail between mid-February and mid-March. This isn’t a trail per se, but a self-guided road route in southeast Fresno county’s agricultural region featuring panoramas of orchards full of fruit trees alive with fragrance and bursting with blossoms. You’ll see plum, apricot, peach, nectarine, almond, apple, and citrus blossoms. Hit this during peak season and it’s a real site.

The overall route 10+ miles and is meant to be done by car or bike, so to run it you’ll have to choose a section. See this site for information and this Google Map of the route.
