Locals say that the Durbin Creek Peninsula Preserve Trail is one of the best off-road courses in the Jacksonville Area. Located in South Jacksonville, the preserve is uniquely located on a peninsula formed at the confluence of Julington and Durbin Creeks. It’s scenic and not too challenging trail running, on terrain ranging from sandhill to lower flatwood to lush floodplain swamp and marshes. .There are about 10 miles of trails, including a 3.9-mile White Blaze Loop and a 6.1 mile loop combining the Yellow and White Blazes. There’s also a 3-mile loop that you can run if you go to the next right after the two mile mark.
Essentials
- Loops of 3.9 and 6.1 miles on blazed trails
- Bartram Park Development - off Bartram Park Blvd., just south of Old St. Augustine Rd.
- Of St. Augustine Road in Bartram Park, located in South Jacksonville
