This is the Great Runs guide to running in Ceske Budejovice, the capital city of South Bohemia in the southern Czech Republic. Located 120 km south of Prague, the city is situated in the valley of the Vltava River, on a flat plain with hillier terrain to the east.

The best place to run in Ceske Budejovice is a fantastic route showcasing the historic centre, a section along the Vltava River, and Park Stromovka. We’ve also included a route in Český Krumlov, an attractive town 25 km south Ceske Budejovice known for its 13th century castle. The route includes the castle’s gorgeous gardens, and some nice paths along the Vltava.

It’s easy to take a bus between the two towns.,
