Parque Arví

Parque Arví is a great spot for trail running in relatively close proximity to Medellín and accessible via public transport. This 40,000-acre nature reserve features 54 km of trails, with something for runners of all abilities. There’s a rich variety of plants, wildlife, and some notable archeological sites.

For running, there are numerous named trails. From the home page, click on ‘Senderos’ (trails). It’s also helpful to get a map and ask for guidance when entering the park, to find a route of desired length and ability. There are some easier trails, as well as hilly trails with more rugged terrain.
