Panama City, Panama

Amador Causeway

The second great coastal pathway in Panama City is the Amador Trail, which island hops along the causeway from Amador to Naos, Parico, and Flamenco islands. It’s a lovely paved multi-use path – either a 5 km one way or a 10 km out and back. Highlights include views of the Port of Panama City, the whimsical multi-colored exterior of the Biomuseo, and the iconic “Panama” sign overlooking Flamenco Marina. Like the Cinta Costera, the Amador Causeway is very exposed, so wear sunscreen and run early to beat the heat. Bonus: Fairly well-lit for night running.

Essentials
  • Up to 10 km (6 miles) out and back
  • 27 meters (89 feet)
  • Port of Panama City
  • Calle Van Hook Bus Stop
