Parks South of Prague

Hostivař Park. Aktron / Wikimedia Commons

There’s an extensive series of large parks south of Prague, offering some nice running on mainly wooded trails. These are areas where we suggest creating your own route. Here are a few recommendations:

Kunratický les Park. This park in the Prague 4 district, and features many km of wooded trails. It’s ~4 km north-south and ~2.5 km east-west. Access at eastern end near the Chodov subway station.

Přírodní Park. You’ll see numerous places in Prague called Přírodní Park. This one is in southeastern Prague, combining two sections: the Nature Park Hostivař-Záběhlice in the Prague 15 Hostivař section and Botič – Milíčov to the south. There are many km of wooded paths in these parks. It’s easy to moderate trail running. In Hostivař, there are some nice paths around a couple of ponds. From there, run on trails south to Botič – Milíčov, or southeast toward Benice. Good access to Hostivař from the Háje subway, ~1 km to the west. From that subway station, you can also enjoy ~1 km of paths through Centrální Park.

Přírodní park Meandry Botiče. This smaller park is in Práče, just to the north of Hostivař-Záběhlice Park. There are easy trails through a nice mix of wooded & open space. There are additional paths in the farmland type area just to the south.
